No.. Being Bad stands alone

Have you found ‘Being Bad’ too demanding, too easy, or at an appropriate level?
Did not hae the time to be messing around doing these blogs specially when for the 1st few weeks my blogs were lost in cyber space... did you not hear me shouting Mark!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!


It was not hard I just did not find it necessary... (We STILL HAVE FREEDOM OF CHOICE)


Do you think the list of topics covered on the module was appropriate?

No for me but maybe for some

Are there any topics not included in the module that you would like to see included?

No... slightly blunt.. but STILL NO!

Do you think that the format for classes has worked well?

Sometimes the format of the class worked well but on one count there was 168 students and that was not necessarily a good thing. Specially in the old MT Building that was often cold not enough chairs and filled with dust!
Oh yeah sometimes we had to sit on the floor or the stairs.

What did you think of the module team?

Three cheers for Mark... helping us with the weblogs and his comments over his sips of coffe in the seminar sessions flicking his long his long hair was cool!

Kevin was alright.. made the sessions ok.

Jackie A.K.A 'JP' she is way out in an okay kind of way. Afterall she is an american.... no I am not having a dig at Americans ...I'm off there next week for my semester break

Wish I had time to go to Disney World mind you!

I believe that it is a good idea but it does not necessarily mean that it will work all the time with every subject.

I would tell them what we did and leave them to make their own personal judgement... afterall everyone is not the same.

If you want to get a point across... mass communication.. that is people really wanted to read the blogs.

What did you think of the other assessments
They were ok.. Because of my religious background was a bit of a struggle

(e.g. would it be better to have one longer assessment rather than two shorter ones?)?

What have you learned from the module? I don't think that I learnt that much.. I guess it may have opened my eyes to see more of the same.
(After all no one lives in a world with blind Folds on)

TELLING LIES

Telling Lies with intergrity.... lol would you believe it!

This was the topic of today's Being Bad session.
Morally is there a difference.

As young children crow they are not told how to [LIE] bUT YET WHEN ASK WHO ATE ALL THE COOKIES FROM THE JAR.... " they reply susan ate them... their imaginatory friend.

So why do people lie to save face....
Is it better to tell the truth and face the consequences...
Some one made the comment that we have to make sure that if we lie that we must aim to do it well... to cover out tracks.... but does not this cause problems in the long run... how long can someone tell lies and get away with it?

Does anyone that is reading this remember the hilarious film called Liar Liar? Liar Liar1 You can rent it on Dvd... maybe you know someone who had a copy just borrow theirs....

PH1000 ‘Being Bad’ Being Too Religious

I was gonna answer this but i was not at the lecture so what can i say... i can answer a few of the questions.

I heard that the teacher opened up the lesson with a prayer and a few students walked out. well I am not sure if that was the right thing to do by walking out but anyway each to their own.

I would have said AMENIF it was relevant... but then that is me and i dont think that it is a bad thing to open up in prayer... but there you go!!!

I hope that is 50 words cause i am just typing to kill time...

'We don't know if our tobacco kills'


The chief executive of one of the world's biggest tobacco firms told a court yesterday there was no such thing as a safe cigarette, but refused to accept that smoking causes lung cancer.
Gareth Davis of Imperial Tobacco was giving evidence at the court of session in Edinburgh in a £500,000 damages action brought by the widow of a man who died of lung cancer. Margaret McTear, from Beith in Ayrshire, claims that Imperial Tobacco failed to warn her husband, Alf, of the dangers of smoking its John Player brand cigarettes. He died in 1993 at the age of 48. Imperial is contesting the action.
Yesterday, Colin McEachran QC, for Mrs McTear, asked Mr Davis if he agreed with the overwhelming medical consensus that smoking causes lung cancer. Mr Davis, 53, a smoker since 15, has worked for Imperial since 1972, and has been chief executive since 1996. He said: "I think it is fair to say we believe that smokers are far more likely to develop serious diseases, such as lung cancer, than non-smokers, and we would agree there is no safe cigarette."
Mr McEachran countered: "Does this mean that smoking causes lung cancer?"
"No, it does not mean that," replied Mr Davis.
Later he said: "Statistics have shown a relationship between smoking and certain diseases, including lung cancer, and I think scientists would agree that statistical association does not in itself establish a cause and effect. There are many questions which remain unanswered."
While being shown cigarette packets bearing the statutory government health warnings in place since 1971, Mr Davis was asked if his company accepted the "smoking kills" message. He replied: "We don't know. Smoking may or may not kill, but we don't know."
Mr McTear began the court action just before his death in 1993. His widow has continued the action in her name. It is the first attempt to sue a tobacco company over smoking that has gone to court in Britain. The hearing, before Lord Nimmo Smith, continues.

The other week the class went to Alton Towers. But I did not want to along with organized Badness. By the way did the teachers actually get paid for that outing?
Well I stayed and could you believe that KEVIN even left work for us to do. But the reason for me not going was that i wanted to be bad and go against the grain.


Lol Just kidding i have a 'BAD' Back and i did not want to cause myself to have a serious injury.

When looking at this module, something intrigued me. I guess that it was that inquisitive streak that is in all of us.

It seemed just a strange title for a module title so I thought.
So there I went on my quest to find out as much as I could. I did not know if it was going to be something that would conflict with my personal beliefs.
I went on the University of Wolverhampton website to see what I could find.
In the search box I typed ‘Being Bad’ as you do. There was I met with some little demon figure on a page that looked like it was infested with evil.


Before I realize my eyes had unconsciously scanned the page to be met with the words BODY PIECING, MASTURBATION, BODY MODIFICATION to name but a few.

At this point I was seriously thinking what other module could I replace this one with.
Funnily enough this was before the very 1st lecture.

Walking in the Harrison Learning Centre I bumped into my friends. I felt compelled to share my plight.

I was just concerned more than anything. My friends looked and in unison said “IT’S GOOD” that was the conformation that I needed. Now I was ready for real to start my lessons.
